Archetypes of a collective identity
The physical body is a symbol, what we see, what we touch, what we think we are, is only flesh. So the human being insists on being something else, for demonstrating that his individuality is eternal and creates visual elements in his image and similar, creates something where he can see himself reflected and thus, try to understand his mortality. This brings me back to the vast and mysterious world of man-made images. This leads me to find in its representation a character that borders on the mythological, where we are eternal entities and we represent the universe in a single vessel. Each story, each myth, each allegorical and archetypal symbol is repeated throughout history, but those characters represented who donate their bodies for a common good, for something greater than themselves are simply that, an individually non-existent image, but universally omnipresent. These characters that become idols that symbolize an amalgam of characteristics sought by each one of us within fantastic stories have a thousand faces, a thousand faces found in those who secretly donate their image and their indispensable identity.
